greasemonkey replace words on websites

// ==UserScript==// @name NAME // @namespace http://www.WEBSITE.com/ // @include http://www.WEBSITE.com/ // ==/UserScript==

(function() {
var replacements, regex, key, textnodes, node, s;
textnodes = document.evaluate( "//body//text()", document, null,
XPathResult.UNORDERED_NODE_SNAPSHOT_TYPE, null);
for (var i = 0; i < textnodes.snapshotLength; i++) {
node = textnodes.snapshotItem(i);
if(node != null && node.nodeName == '#text' && /\S/.test(node.nodeValue))
{

s = node.data;

s = s.replace( /\bWORD OR WORDS TO GET RID OF\b/g, "WORDS THAT IT IS REPLACED WITH OR JUST 2 QUOTES FOR NOTHING");
s = s.replace( /\bWORDS CAN NOT CONTAIN PERIODS OR COMMAS OR SINGLE OR DOUBLE QUOTES\b/g, "IF YOU DO IT WILL NOT WORK");
s = s.replace( /\bBEFORE EACH THING WILL BE A SMALL LETTER B AND END WITH SLASH B AND IF YOU REMOVE ANYTHING BUT THESE BOLD WORLDS IT WONT WORK\b/g, "BELOW ARE SHORTER EXAMPLES");
s = s.replace( /\bERASED\b/g, "REPLACED");
s = s.replace( /\bINPUT\b/g, "OUTPUT");
s = s.replace( /\b0\b/g, "1");
s = s.replace( /\bMAKE BLANK\b/g, "");
node.data = s;

}} })();

By doing this, when you go to a website, you can make specific things either be there or not or be changed. If you frequently go to a website and it says things like "welcome to the blah blah blah website blah blah blah" you can have it removed as the page loads. If there is a bad word, you can replace it with a less harsh word on all website if you want. If you hate a word, you can replace it with one you like or don't mind. It will not change anything except for what it displayed to you after the page loads and then is modified automatically with the script. It will not change what you typed or cause you to get different search results.

The most important thing, is that the first lines are all on 1 single line with "wordwrap" off! on NotePad for Windows. If they are on 2 separate lines or more, it will not work at all. from // ==UserScript==// to // ==/UserScript==//

If you understand this... this is what I started making for YouTube:

s = s.replace( /\bfirst comment\b/g, "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!");
s = s.replace( /\bsecond comment\b/g, "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!");
s = s.replace( /\bthird comment\b/g, "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!");
s = s.replace( /\bfourth comment\b/g, "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!");
s = s.replace( /\bfifth comment\b/g, "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!");
s = s.replace( /\bsixth comment\b/g, "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!");
s = s.replace( /\bseventh comment\b/g, "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!");
s = s.replace( /\beighth comment\b/g, "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!");
s = s.replace( /\bnineth comment\b/g, "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!");
s = s.replace( /\b1st comment\b/g, "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!");
s = s.replace( /\b2nd comment\b/g, "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!");
s = s.replace( /\b3rd comment\b/g, "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!");
s = s.replace( /\b4th comment\b/g, "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!");
s = s.replace( /\b5th comment\b/g, "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!");
s = s.replace( /\b6th comment\b/g, "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!");
s = s.replace( /\b7th comment\b/g, "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!");
s = s.replace( /\b8th comment\b/g, "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!");
s = s.replace( /\b9th comment\b/g, "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!");
s = s.replace( /\bFirst\b/g, "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!");
s = s.replace( /\bfirst\b/g, "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!");
s = s.replace( /\bFIRST\b/g, "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BLOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!");

3rd Shift, why it is not for me.

I hate working 3rd shift now. It was hard to adjust the first week, then i adjusted, but I never went back to feeling "normal". I would usually stay up at night, because i enjoy the layed back less-stressful atmosphere and nobody bothers me. The problem is, unfortunatly, the human body requires us to sleep some at night, every day. It is fine to miss a night every now and then, perhaps once a week, but to wake up between 7pm and 10pm and stay up until 6am to 8am at a job before returning home for 6 months will really tax your body. No medications or drugs will be able to correct the problems it creates both physically and mentally. I have been working 3rd shift for 6 months without a week off, and I am sooooooo screwed up, I lost my mind and nearly quit my job. It didn't help that for the past 2-3 months, I have been working overtime every single week too.

I asked a few times to have my hours cut and my co-worker kept asking for more hours. I was about to ask for a week off, and they gave him a week off. There was a miscomminucation and lack of understanding that I needed time off, and that I am going to have to quit because I can not handel working a 3rd shift job and that even though there are many advantages to working at my job that I have never had anywhere else (such as AWESOME free food, and they cook and bring in the most tasty and healthy foods I have ever had and it kills me to miss out on, perhaps when I get a high paying job I can pay them to make extra of some of the food so I can still enjoy it), but 3rd shift is ruining my life. Sure I can spend every single day with someone in the morning from 7am-noon however, the entire time I am awake, I feel dizzy and horrible, so although I do it, I never feel good, so I don't get to enjoy it as much as if I only got to do it once a month with a 1st or second shift job.

Don't take my word for it. Here are quotes from websites about why 3rd shift is bad for your health.

"Working the night shift first became associated with higher rates of cancer. This may be due to alterations in circadian rhythm: melatonin, a known tumor suppressant, is generally produced at night and late shifts may disrupt its production. Multiple studies have documented a link between night shift work and the increased incidence of breast cancer.

"3rd shift is a time when it’s difficult just to stay awake, you are expected to function at a reasonable level. Unfortunately, laboring through the night can wreak havoc on your body, weakening your immune system and causing a destructive decrease in energy. It’s difficult for the body’s internal clock to adapt to shift work, and laboring through the night often causes insomnia and indigestion."

"Sleep is often the hardest element to "get right" if you are working 3rd shift. Your body is ready to crash halfway through the shift, but when you return home your family is up and about. Spending quality time with them often stands in the way of enough sleep, and it’s almost impossible to choose between the two."

"Sleep is one of the most important gifts you can give your body. But you are fighting your body’s natural sleep-wake cycle by staying up through the night, and sleep loss can be dangerous. Even if you are sleeping during the day instead of the night, third shift workers break up their sleep in order to spend more time with loved ones and do activities that they enjoy. Of course, this is key to a happy life and positive relationships, but it keeps your body from going through the proper sleep cycles, rotating from light to deep sleep. If you are sleeping for a few hours in the morning and then an hour or so before work, your body will not be rested enough and ready for the next shift."

Dropped Net10

Basically, my time kept going away and I was required to call and put in 200+ numbers in my phone to get my time back, and had to be during business hours which working 3rd shift does not work out well for me at all. I gave up on them, but I now believe I just had a damaged phone and that was the cause.

New PC up and running

I have my newly built computer up and running, I have been up (at the time of typing this) for 27 hours 2 minutes and Net10 told me "your account is fine, if you find this wrong, call us" they REFUSE to do ANYTHING over the internet, no, you have to call some un-educated person during business hours. Well, I have had enough of Net10, I know why people say their a scam and I am switching to a new phone company and I will share my experiance with everyone attempting to buy a Net10 Phone card and how they screwed me over and over and refuse to fix your problems over email, no matter what information you provide, they REFUSE to resolove it online. You can say "I have a model # ____ and i forgot what button turns it on, is it the red one?" and they will say "call us during business hours" *sigh*

I am considering Verison, if you know about their prepaid $15 a month service, let me know. I do not use my phone much at all, about 10-30 minutes a month because I do not spend time away from free local phones for longer than that in a month.

Pay to click scam?

Update: (11-19-2008 /edit 12-21-2009)

$50,000 = $0.04
$10,000 = $0.01 = about 1 cent, which is about 1,000 to 10,000 ads with no referals clicking
$1,000 = $0.001
$100 = $0.0001
$10 = $0.00001
$1 = $0.000001
Well, My balance on 1dollarptc was $5,061 and they paid me $0.04 I clicked over 1,000 ads and spent like 20 hours to make 4 pennies, but at least they DID pay, not only that, I quit using my account and a year later i go to log in and they kept my account 100% intact. However, Bux.to never paid me, I requested payment over a year ago.

Update: (9-30-2008)
I have started tracking all my Pay To Click sites and see which ones out preform the others. I have now added recommendations for the top 4 best preforming ones, meaning you get paid the most frequently. The best one I joined, I put off for a month or two after having joined others, and I could kick myself, because it turned out to surpass the 2nd best one by 2 to 3 times and keeps growing!

(pre 9-30-2008)
Want to make money every day at home, on your computer, and not have to spend any money or sign up for credit cards or any of that other crap? I found the perfect thing. Once I get paid a few times, I am going to cut the hours at my job. This is not the only source of online income I have, but so far, it seems like the best.Click here to sign up free and start making money within 1 minute of signing up!

After 1dollarptc paid me 4 cents, I can't say I recommend any of these programs, especially buying ads for ridiculous prices.

This is not a get rich quick scheme. It will take you 1,000 to 5,000 clicks to get a check which means it will take about 30-100 days and then there is a waiting period for getting the money processed due to limited staff, which may take 1-3 months (I forgot what the wait period is on this site, but 1-3 months is average, some are instant, some in 24 hours), but once you start earning for the next payment while it is processing it will overlap time. So in 2-6 months from starting, from dedicated work, you should receive payment and will take you about 1 hour to 2 hours a day.

I will be posting videos about this, along with other programs and an application I built for myself to keep track of my earnings of my sponsors which compiles a homepage for me, which i can click the links to log in, or just see my balance. I may also add in a "percent earned of a check" or "clicks left".

This post is not spam. I typed this entire posting myself, as I do with all my blog posts, and I believe that this site is worthy enough, that you should at least try it out.

Here are my programs, Click them to sign up. :)

I am a member already, and I recommend trying this. It is 100% free to join and will never cost you a cent out of pocket. If you sign up, let me know.

From the time you sign up, you can receive payments from all of these (assuming you click all the ads every day) in less than a year. Which means, you can make money in a year at home, drinking on the job if you want, eating on the job, sitting on the job, taking scheduled or unscheduled breaks whenever you feel like it, clicking when it is convenient, never worry about showing up late, start and stop when you want, and of course, to earn money, it cost nothing. Don't worry about keeping inventory and trying to re-sell it online. Don't worry about people having to visit your website, no worries at all, it is all up to you. Best of all, you can share this with your friend and if they sign up under you, the companies give you a money bonus! So sign up under me, using the links above to show your appreciation for the research and work I put into this blog site to help you.

If all goes well, I will cut my hours at my job down to 1 day a week, just to maintain a job so that in the event the companies go down, I can increase my work hours again and resume my current job. Until I do that, I will be first buying a notebook PC and possibly a better videocamera and fixing anything on my pc that breaks. Other than that, I am going to put it into a savings account and earn interest, so that my money is making money until I need to spend it, or use it as a retirement fund.

*disclaimer. Some sites claim to have ads worth $1 or more per click. This is not a lie. This is what they charge the advertisers. They state that you account balance is not what you will be paid, however you WILL receive a percentage. If your account balance is $5000 you may only get $50.00 which is 1% or you may get something different. If there are enough ads to click on a daily basis, like my favorite one, you can still make this every month without any referrals. If you manage to get referrals, you can either click less, or just make more money. For me, I find clicking ads to be fun. I find out about some cool websites and offers and avoid ones that I think are scams or google them for more info. If you have any questions about any of the sites and want my opinions, just ask me or leave a comment and I will edit this blog post to answer the question. Check back often. Thanks. Sign up under me and Happy Clicking!

Also known as the Scardy-cat Plant. Said to deter smell sensitive animals if grown in large numbers.
