Mealworms
Not well known is that Mealworms and beetles, need an EASY source of water. People say "they get all the water they need from the air" or "they get all the water they need from fruits/vegetables", HOWEVER, if they have to choose to chew up on a soft water filled pupa or a hard carrot or sugary fruit, their going to go for the pupae. My theory is that if I supply EASY to consume water at all times to them, they MAY not mess with the pupae. I also believe supplying them with bugs like crickets, in addition to water, and perhaps the pupae destruction would be minimal. The #1 biggest problem I see with mealworm raising, is that the pupae are all killed, unless they are removed and since there seems to be no automated way of sorting pupae, it must be done manually, and since they can turn into pupae within 1 hour of the last time you checked, you would have to dedicate your life to picking out pupae, if you want to go large scale. I'm searching for a better solution.
Favorite foods:
#1 CRICKETS! (freeze-dried)
Seems to like meat a LOT
Like:
Sliced corned beef, sliced ham. (cooked of course)
Carrots, celery
papaya [completely ripe] (dark orange)
Will eat:
oats, wheat bran, oat bran
chicken & turkey (cooked of course)
bread
potato (molds badly)
?Flies?
?Catfood? (i hear they will)
Will NOT eat:
Carpenter ants
Peanut butter
Apricot preserves
?Dogfood? (i tried 1 specific brand and they run away from it).
I'm working on solving the labor intensive work of sorting pupae from mealworms.
This is my beta prototype, not yet created (i borrowed all the images and photoshopped them together)

Re-install Windows and get it back to normal faster.
FIRST:
Make note of all your Hard Drive names and drive letters, along with the drive letters of CD/DVD and external drives. When you re-install windows, you want to make sure to set all these back to the SAME letters.
Check out your C:\ drive too.
by going to %appdata% (c:\users\username\) and getting the properties on downloads, documents, pictures, videos, and music, i went to location and changed
them to d:\pictures, d:\videos, etc respectively, so that programs by default will always save off the main partition
----- the libraries also will update accordingly wheny ou do it that way
----- you're basically changing windows's main links to 'my documents', 'my pictures', etc by doing that.
----- if i were to reinstall windows, the only data i would be worried about losing if i don't backup would be program settings and temp fiels and stuff that
go into c:\users\username\appdata and stuff like that.
----- but i usually manually backup %appdata%\mozilla %appdata%\adobe %appdata%\whatever trillian's thing is... %appdata%\.purple for pidgin, etc
----- like programs where i made a lot of changes to settings or preferences
----- i back up their appdata folders
----- and re-apply them when i reinstall windows and/or the app (if the app needs to be reinstalled, for being non-portable)
----- backup your %appdata%\mozilla folder, for instance.. then when you reinstall windows, and reinstall firefox , you can literally copy back the backed up
mozilla folder and replace the 'new' one in %appdata% and firefox will be back to the way it was (flash/java might break tlil you reinstall them tho)
----- backup %appdata%\adobe, and re-apply it after installing photoshop if you like any saved presets or settings you did in that program
----- backup %appdata%\.purple for pidgin.

I got tired of videos resuming, I wish you could disable the feature. Maybe Dingux will not have this "feature" or be able to be toggled. Until then, I created a temp fix.
"remove-marks.bat"
place in your native root Dingo drive, which can be executed from your computer while connected VIA USB to delete all your video bookmarks, regardless of the folder their in.
I have never had a .vmark file on my computer before, so if you accidentally executed it on your own computer, it shouldn't delete anything, but may take a long time to search. This will list your vmarks as their deleted, if you want to prevent the window for closing after it finishes, just type "pause" without the quotes, under the "del *.vmark /s" line and it will say "press any key to continue"

New Apps (2009) VLC gray video 4/17/2010

VLC - GRAY VIDEO window (problem solved!)
I was typing and didn't realize I had VLC selected and some setting changed and now my video is solid gray but the right size and has audio, it does this for ALL videos. I looked through the settings and can't find what to do. I did try a few video outputs but had no luck, please help!
"Go to prefrences, video, output modules, advanced and select open GL video output, that should work."
THANKS! IT WORKED!!! VLC now has video once again, no need to re-install. However "Windows GDI Video Output" doesn't have problems with unrelated translucent windows.

Store Hours App (beta 0.11)
I need a good way of knowing when a store is going to open and close, more than this short list. So I came up with a new idea for displaying it and here is what I have programmed so far. It helps me know when certian places are open. Shows me store hours on every day of the week automatically by being updated constantly by the current time and day of the week. If you change the computer time/date, it will update 1 second after changing.

I fixed the math with the day of the week so now their all lined up perfectly for each day, where as before only Wednesday was lined up perfectly. I wanted to use math to simplify the code, rather than doing "if dayofweek = monday then line2.y1 = exactnumber" 7 times, i had it turn each day of the week into a number and use that number to multiply the distance to the next day of the week.
Update: 9/17/2009
Added a small circle which I decided if it was small enough that filled in white was better than bigger and hollow, and added the ability to attach the name of the store to above the cross-hairs and set them back to normal without causing errors. Current app is 19kb and started out as 14kb. I can shrink the size down by deleting some extra things, but i like them there as options for alternative ways of viewing, in case I decide it was better (which i didn't post images of the change i had previously).

I have just finished getting a working app I made that tells me every 2 hours to take a break, by using the words in a text box. I need a break now, but i will add more features later.

Plants VS Zombies ultimate Last Stand
Plants VS Zombies. The ultimate setup for Last Stand.

So far, this has worked 100% of the time, without the slightly bit of panic for failure, and none of the wallnuts change facial expressions to show significant damage taken. I have been playing with this board a lot, and this is the best strategy i have come up with. With 3 onions, they never make it to the first shooter in a round, so you can place it directly behind the 3rd onion.
I put the ice guys back farther, so that if the onions are bypassed, they have time to kill, I doubt their needed, their just protection + bonus damage + bonus slow.
with 3 onions, it would normally be safe to put your shooters closer.
but you never know if your going to lose the onions and get ladder guys or something.
and since onions was all i had to replace, there is no need to put them at risk by being closer.
The Last Stand is my favorite one to play, because you are given a set amount of money and set all your defense/offense up before they zombies come. You can also leave money to replace during the zombies going toward you, but there is the normal timed delay, and relying on it, isn't wise because you can not get more sun while playing the level, only between the 4 stages which is only 250.

If you frequently go to a website and it says things like "welcome to the blah blah blah website blah blah blah" you can have it removed as the page loads. If there is a bad word, you can replace it with a less harsh word on all website if you want. If you hate a word, you can replace it with one you like or don't mind. It will not change anything except for what it displayed to you after the page loads and then is modified automatically with the script. It will not change what you typed or cause you to get different search results.

3rd Shift, why it is not for me.
I hate working 3rd shift now. It was hard to adjust the first week, then i adjusted, but I never went back to feeling "normal". I would usually stay up at night, because i enjoy the layed back less-stressful atmosphere and nobody bothers me. The problem is, unfortunatly, the human body requires us to sleep some at night, every day. It is fine to miss a night every now and then, perhaps once a week, but to wake up between 7pm and 10pm and stay up until 6am to 8am at a job before returning home for 6 months will really tax your body. No medications or drugs will be able to correct the problems it creates both physically and mentally. I have been working 3rd shift for 6 months without a week off, and I am sooooooo screwed up, I lost my mind and nearly quit my job. It didn't help that for the past 2-3 months, I have been working overtime every single week too.
I asked a few times to have my hours cut and my co-worker kept asking for more hours. I was about to ask for a week off, and they gave him a week off. There was a miscomminucation and lack of understanding that I needed time off, and that I am going to have to quit because I can not handel working a 3rd shift job and that even though there are many advantages to working at my job that I have never had anywhere else (such as AWESOME free food, and they cook and bring in the most tasty and healthy foods I have ever had and it kills me to miss out on, perhaps when I get a high paying job I can pay them to make extra of some of the food so I can still enjoy it), but 3rd shift is ruining my life. Sure I can spend every single day with someone in the morning from 7am-noon however, the entire time I am awake, I feel dizzy and horrible, so although I do it, I never feel good, so I don't get to enjoy it as much as if I only got to do it once a month with a 1st or second shift job.
Don't take my word for it. Here are quotes from websites about why 3rd shift is bad for your health.

This may be due to alterations in circadian rhythm: melatonin, a known tumor suppressant, is generally produced at night and late shifts may disrupt its production. Dropped Net10
Basically, my time kept going away and I was required to call and put in 200+ numbers in my phone to get my time back, and had to be during business hours which working 3rd shift does not work out well for me at all. I gave up on them, but I now believe I just had a damaged phone and that was the cause.

New PC up and running
I have my newly built computer up and running, I have been up (at the time of typing this) for 27 hours 2 minutes and Net10 told me "your account is fine, if you find this wrong, call us" they REFUSE to do ANYTHING over the internet, no, you have to call some un-educated person during business hours. Well, I have had enough of Net10, I know why people say their a scam and I am switching to a new phone company and I will share my experiance with everyone attempting to buy a Net10 Phone card and how they screwed me over and over and refuse to fix your problems over email, no matter what information you provide, they REFUSE to resolove it online. You can say "I have a model # ____ and i forgot what button turns it on, is it the red one?" and they will say "call us during business hours" *sigh*
I am considering Verison, if you know about their prepaid $15 a month service, let me know. I do not use my phone much at all, about 10-30 minutes a month because I do not spend time away from free local phones for longer than that in a month.
